ABE classroom practices were introduced at the “Integration in Education Summit” held on 21-22 June 2022 with the aim of disseminating good practices in education.

Meltem Küçükarslan, our ABE teacher at Keçiören Science and Art Center, attended the summit with a presentation titled "Scientific Discovery Activity in an Exemplary Classroom for Gifted Students: Amgen Biotechnology Experience". The teacher shared the DNA isolation, micropipette use and gel electrophoresis practices she performed within the scope of the ABE program. The practices were also published in the Summit Proceedings Booklet.

The summit, which was organized to create a sharing platform on educational practices through inclusion/integration with the co-financing of the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, was held with the theme of "We are One with Our Differences". Arguing that biotechnology should be integrated in gifted students’ education curricula, the teacher shared with summit participants her differentiation, enrichment and acceleration strategies in the ABE practices. The teacher stated that in this summit, she aimed to raise awareness and develop creativity of gifted students through disseminating ABE practices among education community.
