ABE Türkiye Team held a Meeting with Teachers to Plan the New Term Project Practices! Meeting with New Participant Teachers Coming Soon!
ABE Türkiye team came together with the teachers to plan the teacher training and classroom practices to be held in the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year. Meeting with the new participant teachers is coming soon!
22 participants, including the project team and teachers, attended the meeting held online on Tuesday, September 13.
Teachers, who will make classroom practices in the 2022-23 academic year, talked about their expectations and goals within the scope of the program, which aims to enable teachers to implement biotechnology applications through professional development programs designed on the basis of inquiry-based science learning approach. The points they wanted to improve in this project term, their pedagogical goals and what they wanted to do with their colleagues within the scope of the project were among the topics shared.
The Progress Achieved in Project Implementation Preparations were Shared with the Teachers
The progress achieved in the optimization and pilot study of ABE Phase II Laboratories, preparations for teacher training, and application permissions of the Ministry of National Education were shared with the teachers. ABE Fellowship Program application processes, schools acknowledgment certificates and information on teacher certificates were also among the topics shared.
2022-23 Academic Year, First Term Teacher Training and Classroom Implementation Plans Discussed
Details on how to fill in the ABE implementation plan form, where implementation details are entered, were discussed. Teachers' opinions were received regarding their use of the LabXchange platform and their implementation goals for the 2022-2023 academic year. Developing classroom practices, increasing knowledge, skills and competencies in biotechnology, developing activities, writing and conducting projects and participating in conferences were among the teacher's motivations and goals discussed during the meeting.
