Teacher of the Month Spotlight: Daniel Baker from Foothill High School
ABE LA Newsletter Interview/Article
Welcome to our ABE Teacher of the Month Spotlight, where we recognize outstanding educators from across the greater Los Angeles area who demonstrate a strong and consistent commitment to STEM education.
Today, we are pleased to feature an educator who has inspired several thousand students in the fields of Chemistry and Biotechnology. His career reflects a rare combination of industry expertise and classroom dedication. Before entering education, he worked for many years at Amgen, where he managed a clinical biomarkers genomics group as a practicing scientist. He later transitioned into teaching at Foothill High School, bringing real-world scientific experience directly into his classroom.
As a CTE educator, he plays an important role in preparing students not only for academic success, but also for future careers in STEM fields. His contributions have been recognized by his school community, including coverage in The Foothill Dragon Press.
It is our privilege to acknowledge his meaningful contributions to science education and to celebrate the positive impact he continues to have on his students. Please join us in welcoming our Teacher of the Month.
