Lab Technician at ABE-LA Pierce College Distribution Center
Kevin Lemus is a Biology major at Los Angeles Pierce College. Since childhood, he’s been fascinated by how living things develop and how the human body works. As the first in his family to attend college, this interest was unfamiliar territory. He once believed becoming a doctor was the only path in biology, until the ABE program at Reseda High School opened his eyes to a wider range of possibilities. While working toward transferring to a four-year university, Kevin tutors both college and high school students and works as a Lab Tech Assistant for ABE. As a first-generation college student, he feels a strong responsibility to give back. By working in predominantly Hispanic schools, he hopes to encourage students to explore their interests and see that higher education and meaningful careers are within reach.
